We have Booster Juice Vouchers!

Help support SADCS and its programming, while enjoying a smoothie at a delicious discounted price!

Vouchers are accepted across Canada and have no expiry date. They can be used towards the purchase of any regular size smoothie at participating Booster Juice locations. They are available to purchase for $5.50 per voucher.

You can purchase them by visiting the main administrative office with cash and/or chq. OR you can send an email to with your contact information and how many vouchers you would like,  followed by an email money transfer, and a voucher package will be mailed out to you or made available for pick up.

Professional Development Day (August 19, 2019):
Our staff at St. Albert Day Care Society participate in a professional development day annually. This year we had the opportunity to enjoy two great workshops.

Inspired Minds presented “Where the Wild Things Are”: Providing Effective Active Supervision (Standards 1 & 2). Implementing effective active supervision is vital to providing a safe environment for children to explore and learn.  By identifying the key principles of effective active supervision and learning some active supervision strategies, our team will be able to minimize accidents and incidents and be able to focus on the children’s play experiences.  Participants had to opportunity to learn some tips and tricks to ensuring that they are actively supervising their classroom and that children’s play is fun, safe and full of discoveries and adventures.

Alberta Child Care Ventures presented “Being Assertive and Managing Conflict”. In this workshop, we came together as a team to become ready to turn difficult situations into positive exchanges and discovered new opportunities to improve our communications. Success in managing conflict comes from understanding how we behave, as well as how we can influence others with the tone of our voice and the language we use.  We were reminded that we can make a significant difference if we approach hard conversations with a plan and a conscious effort to clearly articulate the message in a respectful and polite manner. More often than not, we will then have more meaningful and significant conversations. 

2019 Pizza Kit Sales:
Thank you to everyone who purchased kits to make pizza, bread and cookies this summer! We raised funds to go towards fall programming. The delicious and exciting Little Caesars products that you ordered will be available for pick up on August 27, 2019 at the daycare center. You will be contacted by us when the orders are in that day.

2019 Spring Raffle Fundraiser:
The draw happened on May 15, 2019 at 2 pm. Thank you to everyone who sold and purchased tickets! And congrats to the winner! Stay tuned for more exciting fundraising opportunities. 

Annual General Meeting:
On Monday April 29 2019 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm, the St. Albert Day Care Society held its Annual General Meeting (AGM). During the AGM, in addition to providing Society updates from the past year, there was the nomination and election of new board members.
